Nature rocks. I went to a meeting in the 'burbs last night, and got some cool pics. Bonus: an awesome cabbage fractal. (Man, I'm totally beginning to sound like
Jen with this science/nature stuff.)

Google Earth + National Geographic =

Okay, okay. I've been a slacker lately. I'm even slacking right now - I'm on my computer when I should be reading my book that's just about due at the library. Anyway, here's something new and exciting: I love
Tim Biskup and his wild, cacophonous work.
Back from summer vacation.
I finally have my laptop back - oh, how I missed it! - and I'm officially back online. I know I've been unable to stop thinking about Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi since Katrina ripped up the Gulf coast; so many lives have been deeply affected by it. Here's
an interesting wiki google map of damage done and slow-going repairs, along with
an extensive collection of NOAA aerial photographs of affected land.
