free is lovely

I feel sorry for cookbook authors these days. How can they make any money when there's epicurious.com? I just made an amazing risotto (just as good as I remember from my season in Italy) - really simple and really great - from a recipe I found on epicurious. Why should I ever buy a cookbook when such a huge cache of free recipes are available so easily?

i can barely even keep a journal, so we'll see how long this blog lasts. i hope this becomes a place to archive some photos and keep my friends up on what i'm doing. cheers!
